privacy policy

the short version
dull is a browser. it loads websites in a web view and hides short-form feeds. that's what it does. here's what it doesn't do:
no analytics
we don't track which platforms you use, how often you open the app, or what you look at. zero telemetry.
no data collection
we don't collect, store, or transmit your browsing data. your web sessions stay on your device.
no accounts
dull doesn't have user accounts. there's nothing to sign up for and no profile to create.
local storage only
your preferences (which platforms you've enabled, appearance settings) are stored locally on your device using UserDefaults. they never leave your phone.
cookies stay on-device
when you log into instagram or youtube through dull, those cookies are stored locally in the web view. we can't see them and don't touch them.
subscriptions
if you subscribe to dull pro, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple and RevenueCat. RevenueCat processes transaction data to manage your subscription — they don't share your data with us beyond subscription status. see RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.
no third-party SDKs
no facebook SDK, no google analytics, no crash reporters, no attribution trackers. the only third-party service is RevenueCat for subscriptions.
the longer version
dull functions as a web browser. when you tap a platform, it loads that platform's mobile website inside a WKWebView and injects CSS/JavaScript to hide short-form content feeds. the filtering happens entirely on your device.
we have no servers that process your data. we have no database of users. we don't know who you are, what you look at, or when you use the app.
if you delete the app, everything goes with it — preferences, cookies, all of it.
this policy is effective as of v1.0 and we'll update it here if anything changes.
waitlist
if you join our waitlist, we store your email address solely to notify you when dull launches. we won't share it, sell it, or use it for anything else. you can request removal at any time by emailing us.
